The product is made from the sound fruit of the tree ΠPrunus persica. Peaches are harvested at the appropriate stage of maturity, mechanically pitted, cut into halves, skin removed, washed, inspected, and packed into cans that are filled with sugar syrup. Then the cans are seamed and pasteurized.
